England in India 2021

Englands cricketers get a much needed December off in winter 2020, but it doesn’t last for long, because as soon as the New Year celebrations are over the team face a challenging trip to India for a five Test Match series in January to March.

The match schedule for the tour is yet to be announced, but at Elite Sports Travel we are working with our colleagues in India to organise hotels, transfers and excursions in all the test match cities and these will be ready shortly after the schedule release. Example Itinerary

Example Itinerary

Below we have an example itinerary for one of our Delhi tours with highlights including a tickets to all five days of the test match, an excursion to the world famous the Taj Mahal and an Elephant ride to Amber Fort in Jaipur to name just a few…

Day 1

Arrive at London Heathrow for your flight to Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.

Day 2

Arrive in Delhi and meet with Elite Sports Travel staff and your local guides and transfer driver in the arrivals hall. Your driver will transfer you directly to your chosen hotel with options available including the fabulous 5* Claridges Hotel. Once checked in and freshened up, enjoy a half day sightseeing tour in Delhi.

Day 3

Check out of your hotel this morning, your transfer driver will collect you from reception and take you to Agra where you will again get a choice fo fantastic hotel properties including the luxurious 5* ITC Mughal.

In the afternoon your driver will wait in reception to take you to the world famous Taj Mahal, built by Mughal Emperor Shahjahan in memory of his beautiful wife Mumtaj. You will then get the opportunity to visit the Agra Fort built by Mughal Emperor Akbar.

Day 4

Check out of your hotel and meet your driver for your transfer to Jaipur.

On route your driver will stop at Fatehpur Sikri, a small city built to honour the Sufi saint Salim Chishti and the entire palace complex is built around the Sufi saint’s tomb.

On arrival in Jaipur check in to your hotel where you have options including the wonderful 4* Shahpura House Hotel.

Day 5

Visit Amber Fort in Jaipur including a marvellous elephant ride to the Fort itself. In the afternoon you can visit the City of Jaipur Palace, the Observatory and pass through Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).

Day 6

Depart Jaipur and return to Delhi. Check into your hotel and then have the afternoon at leisure.

Day 7

Your driver will collect you from reception and take you to Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi for Day 1 of the test match between India and England.

At the close of play, meet your driver outside the ground to be taken back to your hotel.

Day 8

Day 2 of the test match at Arun Jaitley Stadium

Day 9

Day 3 of the test match at Arun Jaitley Stadium

Day 10

Day 4 of the test match at Arun Jaitley Stadium

Day 11

Day 5 of the test match at Arun Jaitley Stadium – Day at leisure if the test match has been completed before day 5.

Day 12

Check out of your hotel and meet your driver for the transfer back to Indira Gandhi International Airport for your return flight to London Heathrow.
