The weekend
The season starts here, at dusk
Bahrain is where the new season begins: the first grid, the first real lap times and the first answers to a winter of questions. The race starts in the late afternoon and finishes under floodlights, the desert cooling as the cars run into the dark. Sakhir’s long straights and heavy braking zones make for proper racing, and the opening round has a habit of rewriting the pecking order. Nobody knows who is quick yet, and that is the point.
The circuit is twenty minutes from Manama, where the waterfront hotels, the souq and the pearl-diving history of the kingdom make an easy, warm weekend in March. Pair it with Jeddah the following week and the two races become one Gulf fortnight. We arrange the hotels, the seats or hospitality, and the transfers, with an Elite host on the ground throughout. Season openers sell early, so the earlier you talk to us, the better the seats.
