The weekend

South Beach, with a Grand Prix attached

The Miami International Autodrome wraps round Hard Rock Stadium, nineteen corners of fast, flowing track that crosses public roads and finishes in front of grandstands the size of a football crowd. The race runs in May heat with the Atlantic a few miles away, and the paddock is as much about who is there as what is racing. It is Formula 1’s most glamorous American weekend, and it feels like it.

Stay on South Beach and the weekend comes with Ocean Drive, the Art Deco district, beach days between sessions and nights that start late.
